Over the past few years, I have not publicly shown my growing portfolio. This show is a collection of accumulated works over these transformative years. I have faced many personal losses, each altering my perspective. These works are a reflection of this.

There is a picture of me as a toddler, alone on a dirt road cradling a bunch of flowers I had just carefully picked. For as long as I can remember, flowers have had a strong pull on my psyche. It is no surprise that when I started painting, flowers became my point of focus. Over the years, I have had the privilege of studying the beautiful intricacies of flowers and have found that each possesses a unique personality, a certain aura.

As a painter, I have shifted from trying to copy their obvious beauty to trying to capture their essence. You might find it absurd, but yes, each flower is indeed unique and upon closer examination exudes its individual personality. Plants are alive, they are not passive, they feel, they radiate emotions, and send out messages. These paintings are a reflection of the emotions the natural world- both flowers and creatures-unlocked in my consciousness.

My mother's parting words were: "love each other." I have held this close to my heart, realizing that everything is alive and bound in a delicate dance of ebb and flow, of give and take; a world where love reigns.
